Asked Questions

  • How far in advance do we need to schedule?
    If you want the booking for a special event, or special date, please book as soon as possible. We are already booking for 2025. Weekend dates book up quickly, so if you would like a weekend date, please book at least 2 weeks in advance. We always try our best to schedule you, but sometimes it might not be possible.
  • How do I secure my date?
    To secure your date, please fill out the booking form on our contact page. We will email you our proposal and booking confirmation with your desired date, time, and instructions. You will need to sign our contract and pay half of the booking price. Once that is completed your time is secured for the date!
  • What’s your cancellation policy?
    After you sign our services, and pay half of the price, we can reschedule you for another day, or for a future date within 6 months of your original booked date, but we do not give refunds. We do require a 72 hour cancellation for all reservations. Any cancellations recieved with less than 72 hours notice will incur a $100 rescheduling fee. Please let us know as soon as possible if your date no longer works, so we can give the opportunity to someone else.
  • What is the latest time you book picnics in the day?
    The latest time we book picnics are one hour before sunset, and all picnics end 15min after sunset. If you wish to extend your picnic later into nighttime please let us know in advance. We need to plan for lighting, and a safe location. If you book your picnic with us in your own home or backyard, then that can be done at anytime.
  • Can I request to be out of the sunlight?
    You may let us know that you would prefer to have more shade. We will recommend to add-on the umbrella canopy or make a note to the crew in charge of setting up. We do not promise complete shade because we work with what is available.
  • When do I pay?
    All bookings require a 50% deposit to reserve your spot. The remainder of the payment will be due two weeks before your original scheduled date.
  • What's your maximum number of guests?
    I can accommodate up to 10 people at any public location. Anything more I will need to make additional arrangements for in advance so please reach out to insure.
  • Can you accomodate dietary restrictions?
    Yes, let us know your dietary needs and we will work with you to make sure every guest is satisfied and able to enjoy.
  • What locations can we have a picnic in?
    We have our favorite locations. We cannot currently do any places outside of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and surrounding areas or select locations within Tampa, Florida. There is a travel fee based on the location given. The fee will depend on the total mileage starting from our location (Bloomington-Normal, IL). We hope to soon be able to do other locations, stay tuned to our social media!
  • Do we have to choose a location?
    No, we offer suggestions. If you'd like to recommend a location, simply put in where you’d like us to do your set up. We are open to new locations and suggestions.
  • Can we have a picnic inside our home or our backyard?
    Yes! Home and backyard picnics are the best way to really have privacy. Please let us know in the booking form if you would like a picnic inside your home or backyard.
  • I want a secluded area, or private area away from the crowds can you insure this?"
    We try our best to find a good location, but cannot guarantee that it will be completely secluded from other people in general.
  • Can we leave before our scheduled time?
    Yes. Please provide us with a 30 min notice via Instagram, Facebook, phone call, or text message. While at your booking you are responsible for all items until we return to pack up. Please do not leave the setup unattended at any time.
  • Is alchohol allowed?
    Alcohol is prohibted at all public parks. It is the responsibility of the guest to check alcohol laws of any venue or public space being used for one of our services. Lavish Experiences With Tavish takes no responsibility for any alcohol consumption or penalties that occurred. However, guests are welcome to bring alcohol (21+ years) to indoor or backyard bookings hosted at their place of residence.
  • Can we bring our own food?
    Yes, feel free to bring your own food and beverage.
  • What happens if I arrive late?
    We can hold the booking for ONLY 15 minutes after the agreed booking time. We have the right to CANCEL the booking if the guest does not arrive during our grace period. There will be NO REFUNDS or rescheduling in these circumstances. Chances are I'm leaving your set up to do another, and if you run late, I run late, and the next booking also runs late.
  • Can I have additional guests present at my proposal picnic?
    Our proposal package hosts only TWO guests. We know that proposals are special and very important. However, we ask that you are honest with us and communicate the exact amount of guests that will be present. We can accomidate your picnic to host more guests at an additional price. Therefore, we do not allow unaccounted guests to attend. Additional guests may attend to see the proposal but they may not stay to interect in or around the setup.
  • Do we have to clean up when we are done?
    No. Our team will setup your picnic and clean up.
  • What happens if my party breaks or damages something?
    There is a damage fee for equiptment that is left unattended, stolen, or broken.
  • What if it rains, snows, or there's high winds?
    If the forcast predicts high winds or 50% chance of rain or more on the day of the event, then we provide an opportunity to reschedule or set up indoors at your own residence. If the forecast predicts snow during the winter time then it is up to our discretion if we will be able to set up or not. Please keep in mind we have to factor in the amount of snow and ice on the ground when traveling and arriving to the location. It has to be safe for us to commute and walk to the set up location. We ask that you sign a waiver stating you acknowledge the chance of high winds and rain or snow and accept that there will be NO REFUNDS in that case.
  • Can I bring additional guests?
    We can accommodate to host more guests at an additional price. We ask that you are honest with us and communicate the exact amount of guests that will be present. We do not set up for unaccounted guests to attend. Inviting unaccounted guests without payment before your picnic starts will result in immediate termination of service.
